Marriage
We were married on June 5, 2009. Right after the ceremony Nicole hugged Matt and with a burst of ultimate joy she exclaimed, “happiness!” We have kept that excitement and love throughout our marriage. Even through rough times, we have leaned on the great friendship that was bound on that wonderful day.Interests
We love to take every opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature. In our spare time, we often take a walk around the neighborhood, which gives us time to discuss the adventures and trials of life.Since Nicole was young, she has had desires to see the outside world. We enjoy travelling to places such as Disneyland in California and New York City. In our travels, we have been able to embrace cultures of every kind.
While in high school, we discovered ballroom dancing. We started a club team to further our interest in the art. Because of this experience, we gained an appreciation for art and culture.
Nicole
I’m the oldest of six children. I grew up taking care of younger siblings, changing diapers, and reading stories. It seems like I have always had an innate desire to be a mother.I love to exercise. I’m always changing up my exercise routine to do something different like tennis, running, x-box kinect, tae-bo, and ab workouts. I really enjoy reading and am part of a monthly book club. I love everything chocolate, specifically pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
I cut hair at a salon and enjoy helping women realize their beauty. I coach women on how to match their dress with their personality. It is a rewarding and fulfilling job. I come home happy everyday!
Matt
My favorite book as a child was entitled, “How Things Work.” My curiosity for knowledge and love of learning has driven me to gain both a formal and informal education. I love to build my understanding and take apart the unknown.My newfound hobbies include woodworking, bread making, and any other task where I can work with my hands. I love to strive for excellence in anything I do. I love to see the results of a hard day’s work.
Play
I have always had a love for music. In high school, I dreamt of becoming a rock star. My friends and I created a garage band to fuel our love of music. I soon realized, however, that my guitar skills were not cut out for the stage. Nevertheless, I continue to learn and dabble in anything music. I believe this will always be a passion of mine.
Work
I am currently working for a construction firm in Utah County. My goal in my employment is to assist the construction industry in the areas of technology and marketing. I am excited to help the industry become more modernized.
